A shared map for India's climate problems
India’s climate-tech space has plenty of ambition but little direction.
Pragati Earth had mapped hundreds of unsolved climate problems across eight sectors, through interviews with companies and its own research. But the findings were hard to use for anyone outside the team, so founders, researchers and investors kept circling the same problems without a shared resource.
WAND worked with the co-founder and her team of researchers to build templates that gave every finding the same shape, in every sector. That structure became the backbone of the website and everything around it.
We designed and built the site for different readers, from a researcher reading closely to an investor scanning quickly. The result is one comprehensive resource that founders, researchers and investors can read in the same language.
We also made the launch film. The Compass is easier to understand in motion than in words, so the video gives the platform a story people can share.
WAND did not start with how the Compass should look — they started with what it actually is, and that changed the product. The Problem → Gap → Opportunity → Scope structure is now the way our whole team talks about the work, not just the way the site is organised. They held the tension between institutional credibility and being welcoming to a first-time founder without simplifying the research away. What we have now is a map people can genuinely act on.
